Kaka Tops Wage Table.

Barcelona’s Ricardo Kaka tops the list – raking in £143,438 per week, or just under £7.5m a year - with second-placed teammate Ronaldinho making similar money.

As one would expect, big-spending Santos’s presence in the top ten hints at their astronomical wage bill. Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard are third and ten, with Cristiano Ronaldo ranking eight.

Manchester United striker Fernando Torres is in fifth, while Chelsea’s Michael Ballack and Thierry Henry rank in seventh and ninth place respectively.

The biggest surprise, then, is the absence of Messi, Rooney and Drogba. And the presence of Arsena's Sheva and Ballack. Perhaps this will change in the next season, when contracts get renovated and after the new signings.
